phoebe is a queer, gender nonconforming writer, filmmaker and artist committed to using their voice and privilege to fight climate change and environmental inequality. she recently graduated with a bachelors of science in atmospheric and oceanic sciences from UCLA, with minors in literature and the environment as well as film, television, and digital media studies. during their time at UCLA, phoebe's deepening interest in oceanography, creative writing and film led them to the expanding field of the environmental humanities and especially the blue humanities. now, phoebe is committed to exploring how the environmental humanities combat climate change, and seeking ways to uplift often-quieted voices in conversations about climate change and injustices through art and media.
